Job Description & Qualifications:
The Positive Space Committee for the St. George campus meets monthly during the year to discuss emerging issues, respond to needs throughout the campus and network with others to support the Positive Space campaign. These meetings are a gathering of students, staff and faculty across the campus who are interested in supporting Positive Space and connecting with others committed to addressing homophobia and making our learning and working environments more inclusive. Allies are pivotal to participating in the campaign and these meetings.

The Positive Space Assistant (PSA) will work closely with the Chairs and other members of the Positive Space Committee to assist in the coordination of events and activities for the Committee, communication and promotion of the Committee’s activities (including through the use of social media), and administration of the monthly meetings. The incumbent should have experience with planning events, promotion of events, the use of social media, and editing WordPress websites.

Hours of work available per week: 3-5, includes evenings and weekends for events.
