On February 22nd, grab a piece of pink clothing and join us in showing that U of T is committed to ending bullying!
Ten years ago, a grade 9 student arrived at school the day after being bullied for wearing pink, to face a sea of pink. Hundreds of his classmates had turned out in pink to stop bullying. Since that time, Canadians across the country commemorate the event by wearing pink one day a year. We want people to know that here, they should feel free to wear whatever they want, whether it is a pink shirt or a headscarf, without fear of harassment.
So we invite you to wear pink on Wednesday, February 22nd and send a Tweet, Snap, Instagram, or Facebook post using the hashtags #PinkShirtDay and #UofT.
